Loss of Illusion

Olje på lerret.

120 x 140 cm.

Oil on canvas.

This was painted in 2019 for the exhibition "What one does not see".

The painting seeks to capture that moment when one let go - allowing illusions to evapporate and seriously close ones heart for a scenario. The hawk symbolizes this dream/burden that detach itself and fly away. The skyline of Florence is representative for me as this city holds so much beautiful art at the expense of many tough fates.
